It is also an interim measure pending completion of a newnational consensus non-Government standard (NGS) on ConfigurationManagement, a DoD Practices Appendix to that NGS, plus simultaneouscompletion of an Interface Standard containing the DoD鈥檚 informationrequirements only.a. To facilitate electronic commerce, all requirements to use DDForms for the submittal of data have been deleted. The replacementrequirement is Contractor format.b. All documents cited as mandatory reference documents have beendeleted from the standard in support of the recommendation on 鈥淓xcessiveReferencing 鈥?contained in the Process Action Team on MilitarySpecifications and Standards鈥?Blueprint for Change Report. Some of thesedocuments are now cited in Section 6 as useful sources of information forspecific topic areas, while other information has been imported into thetext.
