【摘要】:1Thispracticecoversthepreparation,testing,andprocedureforusingtheceric-ceroussulfatedosimetrysystemtomeasureabsorbeddoseinwaterwhenexposedtoionizingradiation.Forsimplicity,thesystemwillbereferredtoasthecerioceroussystem.Itisclassifiedasareferencestandarddosimetrysystem(seeGuideE1261).2Thispracticedescribesboththespectrophotometricandthepotentiometricreadoutproceduresfortheceric-ceroussystems.3Thispracticeappliesonlytoγrays,X-rays,andhighenergyelectrons.4Thispracticeappliesprovidedthefollowingaresatis-fied:4.1Theabsorbed-doserangeshallbebetween5×10and5×10Gy(1).4.2Theabsorbed-doserateshallbelessthan10Gy/s(1).4.3Forradiomiclidegamma-raysources,theinitialphotonenergyshallbegreaterthan0.6MeV.Forbremsstrahlungphotons,theinitialenergyoftheelectronsusedtoproducethebremsstrahlungphotonsshallbeequaltoorgreaterthan2MeV.Forelectronbeams,theinitialelectronenergyshallbegreaterthan8MeV.Note1—Thelowerenergylimitsareappropriateforacylindricaldosimeterampouleof12-mmdiameter.Correctionsfordosegradientsacrossanampouleofthatdiameterorlessarenotrequired.Theceru-ceroussystemmaybeusedatlowerenergiesbyemployingthinner(inthebeamdirection)dosimetercontainers(seeICRUReport35).4.4Theirradiationtemperatureofthedosimetershouldbebetween0and62℃.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappro-priatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplica-bilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
