【摘要】:Theserequirementscoverelectricallyoperatedgeneralpurposeandsafetyvalvesrated600voltsorlessandintendedforthecontroloffluids,suchasair,gases,oils,refrigerants,steam,water,andthelike.Electricallyoperatedvalves,otherthanautomotivefuelvalves,coveredbytheserequirementsareintendedtobeusedinotherthanhazardouslocationsasdefinedbytheNationalElectricalCode,NFPA70.Theserequirementsalsocoverelectricallyoperatedvalvesintendedtobefactoryinstalledonorincertainappliancesasoperatingorsafetycontrols.TheserequirementsdonotcovergeneralpurposevalvesthatarenotintendedtobeusedwithaflammableorhazardousfluidandareintendedonlyforconnectiontoalowvoltagecircuitoflimitedpowersuppliedbyaprimarybatteryoraseparateexternalClass2transformer.However,ifahigh-voltagetransformerwithalow-voltagesecondaryisincorporatedasanintegralpartofavalve,theassemblyiscoveredbytheserequirements.Theserequirementsdonotcovervalvesforuseinhydraulicfluidpowersystems.TheserequirementsdonotcovervalvescoveredbytherequirementsintheStandardforAutomaticValvesforGasAppliances,IAS/AGAZ21.21.
