【摘要】:Thesetestmethodsincludemostofthetestmethodsthatareconsideredimportanttocharacterizenonrigidvinylchloridepolymertubing.Whiletheyweredevelopedinitiallyforthistypeofextrudedtubing,theiruseisnotlimitedtothistypeoftubing.Variationsinthesetestmethodsoralternatecontemporarymethodsmaybeusedtodeterminethevaluesforthepropertiesinthisstandardprovidedsuchmethodsensurequalitylevelsandmeasurementaccuracyequaltoorbetterthanthoseprescribedherein.Itistheresponsibilityoftheorganizationsusingalternatetestmethodstobeabletodemonstratethiscondition.Incasesofdispute,thetestmethodsspecifiedhereinshallbeused.Note28212;Provisionforalternatemethodsisnecessarybecauseof(1)thedesiretosimplifyproceduresforspecificapplicationswithoutalteringtheresult,and(2)thedesiretoeliminateredundanttestingandusedatageneratedduringmanufacturingprocesscontrol,includingthatgeneratedunderStatisticalProcessControl(SPC)conditions,usingequipmentandmethodsotherthanthosespecifiedherein.Anexamplewouldbetheuseoflasermicrometersoropticalcomparatorstomeasuredimensions.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthetestingofgeneral-purpose(GradeA),low-temperature(GradeB),andhigh-temperature(GradeC)nonrigidvinylchloridepolymertubing,oritscopolymerswithothermaterials,foruseaselectricalinsulation.Forthepurposeofthesetestmethodsnonrigidtubingshallbetubinghavinganinitialelongationinexcessof100%atbreak.Note1ThesetestmethodsaresimilarbutnotidenticaltothoseinIEC60684-2.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard,excepttemperature,whichshallbestatedindegreesCelsius.Valuesinparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Theproceduresappearinthefollowingsections:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,seeSection.1.4Thisisafire-test-responsestandard.Thetestproceduredescribedmeasurestheresistanceofthetubingtoignitionorthespreadofflameafterignitionwhentestedunderthespecifiedconditions.1.5Thisstandardisusedtomeasureanddescribetheresponseofmaterials,products,orassembliestoheatandflameundercontrolledconditions,butdoesnotbyitselfincorporateallfactorsrequiredforfirehazardorfireriskassessmentofthematerials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.1.6Theeffectofelevatedtemperatureisindicatedbythechangesinultimateelongationandweightcausedbyexposureofthetubingtoelevatedtemperaturesforaspecifiedtimeundercontrolledconditionsofaircirculation.
